About this camp

Coding with Kids offers hands-on programming camps across the Denver/Boulder region for students in grades K-12, focusing on developing computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Campers engage in a blend of connected and "unplugged" activities. Programs include creating interactive stories and computer games using Scratch, coding mods for Minecraft to customize game elements, and learning Python for building projects like terminal-based games, data analysis tools, or web scraping applications. Older students can delve into web development with HTML/CSS/JavaScript to create websites and web-based games, or explore electronics and robotics using Arduino and C programming to build circuits, alarms, and music generators. The curriculum is progressive, allowing students to advance from foundational concepts to more complex software development skills.
