Go For Launch! Denver 2026 is a two-day event designed for aspiring astronauts and space enthusiasts in grades 8-12. Participants will engage in hands-on, project-based activities, including the design of a space experiment. The program emphasizes teamwork, communication, and leadership skills through collaborative tasks and a culminating design project. Students will have the unique opportunity to learn from and work with an exceptional team of experts, including an astronaut and Michelle Lucas, a former International Space Station (ISS) Flight Control Operations Planning and Astronaut Instructor. The winning experiment from the series may even be launched to the International Space Station or on a suborbital flight.
The camp aims to immerse students in the wonder of human spaceflight through talks delivered by space and STEM experts, providing insight into various career possibilities. All necessary supplies, lunch, snacks, an event t-shirt, a mission patch, and a space-themed swag bag are provided.
A typical day runs from 8 am to 6 pm, with full-day attendance required, and includes hands-on activities, expert talks, and collaborative team projects.
